Cornerstone Youth Mexico- Day 4

(Sorry about the late post... couldn't make internet connection.)  Scott

Salutations!

Today we ran a VBS, there were about 50-60 kids. We also painted a church.

The youth painted the outside of the church, and tomorrow we will be painting the inside of the church. We painted from 9:30- 12:00. Then we had a delicious lunch break, made by the amazing cook Brenda.

Then around 12:30 kids started to arrive for VBS. In VBS we did crafts, games, and a lesson. VBS went from 2:00- 4:00. The kids were also extremely polite. Some even spoke English, which was awesome! For us it was really hard to communicate with them, but we used are hand signals, and our helper, Omar, to give the kids instructions. The kids were very open to talk with us. They also tried to explain their games to us, by getting their friends to show us how it goes. At the closing of VBS we sang some Spanish songs like, “If you’re happy and you know it.” We made many friends, and some sweet connections. Also most of us can’t get over how adorable the Mexican kids are.

Over all we had an amazing day! And we thank the Lord for our energy to help us through the day, and help us have patience with the kids. Thank you for the prayers!

Hey mom and dad!
