Cornerstone Clips -- January 27, 2008

* Men’s Bible Study on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
* Young Adults Bible Study – Bible Study on Friday, Feb. 1.
* Men’s Snowmobiling Day (Minimum Age: 16 & with Valid Driver’s License) on Feb. 9th. Talk to Landon or Russ.
* Teen Challenge Service – Sunday, February 17th. Anyone who has a pair of steel-toe work boots to donate to Teen Challenge please bring them to church that Sunday morning.
* Ladies’ Bible Study – “Conversation Peace – The Power of Transformed Speech” by Mary Kassian. Watch for more details.
* Annual Meeting – February 28 (tentative)
- Reports – annual reports to Vern Reimer by today.
- Finances – all budget proposals for 2008 to Leo by today. All bills to be handed in to Jim Unrau from now on.
- Elder Nominations – Deadline for Elder Nominations is today. Please hand completed nomination forms to Vern Reimer or John Smith. Reminder: Leo Martens & John Neufeld are eligible for re-election.
* 80th Birthday Celebration – All are welcome to help us celebrate Elsie Neustaedter’s 80th birthday on Feb. 2 at the Friendship Center in Crystal City. Come & go between 2:00–4:00 p.m. A loonie donation will be available in support of “The Rock” in lieu of cards or gifts.
* Attention Supporters of Inner City Youth Alive – Inner City Youth Alive’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, Feb. 2nd from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Hear inspiring stores and ICYA’s vision for impact in the community, get a tour of our 20,000 square foot building and enjoy a wonderful complimentary meal. All are welcome to join us.
* Missions Fest at Grant Memorial Baptist Church on Feb. 1-3. Featured speakers: Charles Price of Living Truth Television Ministry, Gracia Burnham author of the book “In the Presence of my Enemies” and Joyce Rees from Jacob’s Well. Also a special Youth/Young Adult evening with Drew Brown and the Blacklight Revolution Tour. - Tobogganing rescheduled to February 2nd. Bring $5.00, and if you bring a friend … you and your friend come for free! Meet at the church at 1:30 p.m.; pick-up at 8:00.

Cornerstone Activities . . .
* 24-Hour Church Prayer Focus
– January 9 &10. Please sign up on the sheets provided at the back for your time to pray. After the 24-hour prayer focus everyone is invited to join together for prayer on Thursday, January 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
* “Journey of the Heart” Evening Service – Sunday, January 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the church. We will explore the Heart of Repentance and the Heart of Love.

* John: His Story – A dynamic play based on the seven miracles performed by Jesus in the Gospel of John at PW Enns Centennial Concert Hall on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 7:00 p.m. No admission fee – a freewill offering will be taken to cover expenses and in support of the Canadian Bible Society.
