·         Cornerstone Ministries is once again providing lunch for the Crystal City Carnival on July 6th.  Your help in the making of desserts would be greatly appreciated. The sign-up sheets are at the back.  Please have the pies/cakes at the Community Hall by 10:00am.  Thank you very much.

·         Our church would like to show our support and appreciation to the cast of the Passion Play by providing supper for them on Sunday, July 7th at 4:00, before the evening performance.  If you can help serve or prepare food, please sign up at the back.  Contact Karen Friesen for more information. 

·         Windy Bay Fundraiser:  We invite you to attend the Open Doors Foundation fundraiser at Cornerstone Ministries to support Hardi and Betti Kubassek

Youth News
Jr. Youth -   Guys/ Girls event on June 28th.
Jr. Youth Girls Only Event - Tuesday, June 25 meet at the church at 4pm.  Pick up is at 10:30-11pm at The Rock in Pilot Mound. Supper provided. For more info talk to Rachel or Diane.
 
 
 
Thank-you to everyone who taught and helped with Sunday School this past year!  May God give the increase to the seeds that were planted and watered. (1 Cor.3:6)
 
Congregational Meeting on June 25 @ 8 pm will include making decisions on the youth pastor transition, an update on fundraising for a new church bus, and opportunity to ask the leadership board questions.  All Cornerstone attendees are encouraged to participate, but only members have voting privileges. 
Motion: “That we recommend to the congregation that we hire Andy Neufeld to serve a half time Youth Pastor Position alongside Pastor Scott with position to tentatively start September 1st.” Moved by John, Seconded by Jer…Carried.
Worship will begin at 10:00 am starting next Sunday as Sunday School ends and we switch to summer worship hours until September 1.

New books again in the library - mostly adult fiction and youth fiction.  You will find them on the desk in the library.  There are also a couple Veggie Tales books for the kids to enjoy this summer.  There is a good variety of suspense novels, fantasy, easy reading, Amish themes, mysteries, westerns and more, all from authors who are new to our library.  Also, if you happen to be sorting through your personal books this summer, and would like to donate some Christian reading to the church library, please place them in the book return bin.  Thanks so much.

Jody (Unrau) Peters will be sharing stories and pictures from her mission trip to Haiti.

Sunday School classes conclude June 23 for the summer.  Starting June 30, our worship for the summer will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Congratulations to Walter & Terri Smith on the birth of their son Dylan John, born June 10th, 9 lbs 14 oz., 21 ¼ inches long.  Proud grandparents are John & Sheila Smith and John & Lorna Neufeld

Special Offering to support Laura Lafreniere today as she goes to Youth With A Mission in Florida.  Donations should be made directly to Laura as tax receipts cannot be provided by Cornerstone.

 Miscellaneous bridal shower for Rachel Bergen will be held on Sunday (tonight), June 9th @ 7:00 p.m.  @ the church.  Everyone welcome.

 Arnie & Elaine Popplestone + Israel = TRIP PRESENTATION!  Come and see and experience Arnie and Elaine's trip to Egypt and Israel on Friday, June 14, 7:30 p.m. at Cornerstone church. 

 Men's Golf Day on June 16th from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. at Pilot Mound Golf Course.  Breakfast will be served at the church after the game.  Signup sheet at the back of the church.  Sign up as singles, pairs, or 4-some.

Camp brochures are available at the back of the church with information for children and youth interested in summer program opportunities.  Anyone working at camp as staff can apply for financial support and get the form from Steve Konrad.  The Missions committee encourages you to get involved at one of the local Bible camps.
 
 Library - check out all the new DVD's in the family section of the library.  There are 10 new movies that your family might enjoy on a rainy evening.  There are also 8 new Cherub Wings DVD's for the young kids.  Please return movies after 2 weeks so that everyone gets a chance to view them, thanks."
