Gday all!
I've got to say the last week has flown by. Its hard to believe that in 2 days the whole trip will all be over. On Wednesday we had a carnival day at a school close by ICYA. This is a day where Soar Heartland plans a bunch of activities and all the VBS that are going on throughout the city go this carnival that is put on. All of the youth were paired up with 1-3 kids each and they just spent the whole day together. When we came back all of the youth had stories of really connecting with each of the kids. Today (Thursday) was a similar day where we took the kids from ICYA (today we had 46), to a place called Kid City. It is basically a McDonalds play place x10. It was a very high energy day of keeping up to kids, and connecting on a personal level with a lot of the kids. All in all it has been two really good days of connecting with kids at ICYA!
