Please take Note:
•Men’s Bible Study is taking a break for the summer.
•Dave & Agatha & family will be taking two weeks of holidays beginning May 26 to attend a wedding on Thetis Island, BC on June 2nd, and will be returning June 9. During that time, please bring any pastoral requests to Pastor Scott or one of the elders.
•Inviting anyone who is interested in doing a 6 week study on: "Who Switched off My Brain", by Caroline Leaf, (www. drleaf.com) to sign up on the sheet on the table at the back. Please note the times and dates are somewhat flexible so please put down suggestions. This study looks at scientific research regarding the impact of our thoughts on our actions and health. It teaches in a tangible way how to "take every thought captive". Even though we have had "toxic thoughts" for twenty years we can change not only our thoughts but also how our brain works, in 21 days!! So, if you are interested, you are welcome. Will begin as soon as the books arrive. For more info please contact Helen at lwall@mymts.net or 873-2079.
•Alana Wall has started the new church directory. If you want a new picture in the directory please see Alana after the service for a quick family picture. If you want your information updated please email or phone it in to Alana at alanamaurine@gmail.com or 873-2122 or write it down and put it in her mailbox. New book in the library- Miracle for Jen On the night of November 5, 2006, the Barrick family was driving home from church when their van was struck by a drunk driver. Fifteen-year-old Jen suffered multiple skull fractures and severe brain trauma and was not expected to survive the night. But against all odds, she did. As she lingered in a coma, doctors warned that if Jen ever woke up, she would be cursing and screaming in confusion due to her brain injuries. Instead, after five weeks she opened her eyes and began praying and praising God. Jen didn’t remember her middle name, recognize her parents, or recall that she had a little brother—but she remembered Jesus and every word to every praise song and scripture she had hidden in her heart before the accident. As any loving mother would, Jen’s mother Linda wanted God to heal Jen—make her like she was before. Normal. But a loving God had something else in mind—instead of making her normal, God is making Jennifer—and the whole Barrick family—extraordinary, miraculous. Miracle for Jen is the remarkable true story of a family who overcame tragedy and learned to trust Gods plan for their lives in a whole new way.
