Cornerstone Clips, October 2, 2011

Prayer Meeting @ 8:30 a.m.

Thanksgiving lunch after the service.

Next Sunday - Thanksgiving Service @ 10:30 a.m. - Come prepared to share.  Count your blessings name them one by one.  Count your blessings see what God has done.

  • The Youth will be doing a workday on Saturday, October 15.  If you have any work you would like done please talk to Scott.
  • All ladies interested in Bible study please sign up on the sheet at the back table.  Duty or Delight by Tammie Head will begin in mid October.
  • Do you have a great idea for the Kids Christmas Eve program.  Maybe you would like to be in charge of even a small portion of it.  If that's you, and you are inspired to either lead all of it, or giving a helping hand, please let Kimberly Harms know as soon as possible.

  • Thanksgiving soup and pie fellowship lunch will be held on October 2nd. Group 5 (Dorothy's group) in charge. Every family bring 2 pies and drinks; sign up sheet at the back to bring soup. Meat and buns will be provided.
  • The Youth will be doing a workday on Saturday, October 15. If you have any work you would like done please talk to Scott.
  • All ladies interested in Bible study please sign up on the sheet at the back table. Duty or Delight by Tammie Head will begin in mid October.

  • A baby shower for Alana Wall and baby Elijah will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 14 @ 7:30 p.m. at the church.
  • Thanksgiving fellowship meal will be on October 2nd.  Group 5 (Dorothy's group) in charge.  More details next week.
2011 – 2012 Sunday School Teachers & Curriculum
  •  Age 3 & 4 - Teacher: Cindy Reimer, Helpers Sandi Reimer, Carlie Reimer, Sarah Martens, Jenn Moir 
They will learn about God's love for them and how to love others. (Gospel Light Curriculum) 
  •  Age 5 –Grade 4 –Kids Klub- Teachers: Don & Dana Gerbrandt, Buffy Debruil, Fred Hein, Stephanie Hein. 
They will study Mighty Men and Women of God.  (Kid’s Church)
  •  Grade 5 & 6 - Teachers: Janice Unrau and Cindy Pauls 
They will study what it means to know God, trust Him and how to put Him first. They will learn how this affects their life among other people. (Gospel Light) 
  •  Grade 7 & 8 - Teacher: Karen Friesen Alternates: Diane DeRoo and Dorothy Martens 
"Teach Me Your Way" - A study to encourage us to surrender to Jesus in salvation and to submit to His way in obedience. Focuses on the Sermon on the Mount. (Children Desiring God Curriculum) 
  •  Grades 9-12 - Teachers - Andy Neufeld, Ryan Smith, Seth Martens, Scott Reimer and Russell Guenther 
"Your Word is Truth" - Lessons to help renew our minds in order to get a biblical world view so we can see and interpret all of life through the scriptures. It establishes the bible as God's absolute and unchanging truth and then examines contemporary topics to teach us how to apply biblical truth to all areas of life. (Children Desiring God Curriculum)

    Due to cool weather the  worship service will be held at Cornerstone Ministries Church @ 10:30 a.m. instead of at Clearwater Ball Park.  Following  the service the fellowship lunch and picnic will be held at the Clearwater Ball Park as planned.

    •  Fellowship lunch - Helen Wall's group is in charge.  Bring meat to barbeque, buns, salads and drinks.  Deserts will be provided.  
    •  Bring lawn chairs, blankets and ball gloves.

     Sunday school for the entire family starts next Sunday, Sept 11, 2011 at 9:30. Children age 3 and up are invited to class. There are classes for all ages including adults. Nursery service for babies and toddlers available during the Sunday school hour. Please participate in this special time of training in the word.

     Buhler Hall in Gretna, MB, invites you to watch the comedy/drama/musical, ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN.  This onstage adaptation contains numerous, entertaining stories, which are primarily about ordinary people.  The author’s comic style delivers an insightful and heartfelt perspective on everyday life and the profound echoes that reverberate through it.  The show runs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students 18 and under.  Please call MCI for tickets at 327-5891.
