New book in the library- The Price Of Freedom. A story of faith, in the face of danger by Simon Ivascu and Wesley Pop. This is what one reader had to say after she read this book:

"I just finished an incredible book. I seriously have never read a book so fast in my life. “The Price of Freedom.” The true story of two young (19 year old) men who escaped from Romania. They fled because every Romanian man has to serve a year in the army and because they are Christians they would face torture there. They came to Canada as stowaways in shipping containers on a massive ship. It’s the story of how they faced death numerous times, beatings, and how by an absolutely incredible miracle of God they survived. The one guy was badly beaten in Italy and Austria. So I’m reading it thinking this all took place 40 + years ago. NO! It was 1997! The one guy will be just turning 36 in March. They live in Kelowna BC now and are singers. The Freedom Singers. It’s a very quick easy read, but what you learn about God’s hand in the lives of people today is unreal. Simon, Wes and Simon’s brother were actually on the show Dragon’s Den, promoting their book. You can even Google them on youtube to hear them sing. They share their story at churches all over Canada. If you can get your hands on that book I recommend it".
