Hello everyone, let me fill you in a little bit about how day 6 of our epic trip is going. This morning, groups 2 and 3 got up nice and early and left for the Calgary Food Bank and Servants Anonymous respectively. My group, group 1, got to sleep in, because we had nothing to do except peel and cut 50 pounds of potatoes. At the Calgary Food Bank, group 2 sorted food donations. Group 3 helped clean houses up until lunch time. Our group was walking towards a bus stop to travel to the VBS and we stopped for lunch on the way. As we were finishing eating, we ran into group 3 as they were looking for a place to eat. We talked for a few minutes and then went our separate ways, us to our VBS, and group 3 to the Calgary Drop In. At the Drop In the group helped to fold and move clothing around the building. Afterwards they headed back to the JLYS (jesus loves you society) and helped the volunteers there with distributing food, feeding supper and playing with the kids there. While they were doing this, group 2 worked with an organization called Way of Recovery?????? helping to clean apartments. Group one's VBS went rather well, and afterwards, we headed to the Salvation Army Centre of Hope where we served supper. All of our groups met back at the JLYS at around 8 pm and we met as a group and shared some of our experiences and sang some praise and worship together. It's been a busy day for all of us here, thank you for your continued support through prayer, keep it up! Anyways, it's getting late and I should really get some sleep, though I would already be asleep if the internet had worked the first time I had typed this blog, but the connection failed and I had to retype it.
