- Parental Decision: During our service next Sunday March 3, we will be talking about abortion, including a personal testimony by Tasha Deschambault. The pastors and elders recommend that parents may not want their children below youth or junior youth ages to hear this presentation, so there will be a special children's church during that service that parents may send their children to. See Pastor Dave or any elder if you have questions.
· New Members Class: Sunday March 3 at 1:00 - 2:30 pm Pastor Dave will lead a class for anyone considering becoming a member of Cornerstone, or anyone wanting to learn more about membership (no obligation to become a member). A simple lunch will be provided. Please let Pastor Dave know if you are considering participating.

Annual Membership Meeting, March 4,
2013 @ 7:00 p.m.
There are four Cornerstone
members who have been nominated and agreed to let their name stand for
election March 4 for three positions on our Elder Board: Fred Hein, Richard
Klassen, Jer Pauls and Vern Reimer.
Please uphold each candidate as you
prayerfully consider each one.
Annual Report Booklets are ready for every Cornerstone attendee.
Please read through your copy before our annual meeting on Monday March 4 @ 7
pm, and please consider prayerfully the Project Suggestions and Elder
Recommendations for our surplus so that we will be ready to come to a consensus
at the meeting.
Proposed Cornerstone Constitutional Changes: At our annual meeting on March 4, the elders will
recommend that the membership approve the following change to Article VII (3)
in order to allow electronic banking transactions by the treasurer:
Article VII – Finances
3. The treasure is
entrusted with the ministries funds and is to make all disbursements. All
monies received by him or her shall be deposited in the name of the church in a
financial institution approved by the board of elders. The treasurer shall
prepare a monthly list of all disbursements for approval by the board of
elders. Disbursements may be made by cheque or by electronic banking only.
Cheques require the signature of the treasurer or any member of the board of
elders designated to have signing authority.
This would replace the current wording below:
The treasurer is
entrusted with the ministries’ funds and is to make all disbursements. All
Moines received by him or her shall be deposited in the name of the
organization in a bank approved by the board of elders, and no disbursements
shall be made except by cheque. No payment shall be made without the approval
of the board of elders. Cheques shall require two signatures, one to be that of
a member of the board of elders, the other to be that of the Treasurer.
