* March 27 & 28 – The Winkler and district ministerial is hosting a parenting event entitled “How to Raise Your Kids Without Raising Your Blood Pressure” with keynote speaker Phil Callaway at the Winkler EMM Church. The cost for Friday evening and all day Saturday is $15 per adult. Child programming for children ages 1-11 is free. This will be a great opportunity for expanding your knowledge and gaining tools to sharpen your parenting skills. Check the poster in the foyer or your mailboxes for more info.
* “The Robe” - Candlewick Players invite you to celebrate the Easter Season with the full-length drama presentation of Lloyd C. Douglas’ “The Robe” at the Morden EMM Church. Performances run Tuesday to Thursday, April 7 – 9 at 7 PM each evening. Tickets are not required - a free-will offering will be taken.
Marcellus, a young Roman officer, finds it his duty to crucify a Galilean. During the crucifixion, Marcellus wins the homespun robe of the man he is crucifying. The following weeks and months finds Marcellus struggling with the identity of this Galilean and His persecuted followers until at last Marcellus must come to a decision as to whether this Jesus was truly divine. A story of redemption and power.
