* Youth Pastor Position
- Recommendation – The Elder Board recommends to the Cornerstone membership that we hire Andy Neufeld as our full-time Youth Pastor starting August 1, 2008.
- We will have a membership meeting to discuss and vote on this recommendation on Sunday, June 1st after the morning service. All are invited to attend but only members will be allowed to vote. There will be some activities planned for children Grade 6 and younger during this time.
* The new Daily Bread devotional booklets are available at the back.
* Baptism – Sunday, June 8.
- Fellowship Meal after the morning service.
- Bring sandwiches, salads, desserts and beverages.
- Grp. 1 (Marge Reimer’s group) is in charge.
- Please bring extra food for guests.
* Summer Schedule starting on Sunday, June 22.
- Prayer Meeting at 9:00 a.m.
- No Sunday School.
- Worship Service at 10:00 a.m.
* Children’s Feature – Anyone interested in doing a children’s feature during the worship service in the summer months, please talk to Marian Redekopp.
* Faith & Life Spring Concert – May 25th at 3:00 p.m. in Buhler Hall, Gretna, MB. Featuring Faith & Life Male Choir, Faith & Life Women’s Chorus and MCI Chamber Choir.
YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS
Senior Youth
* Youth Bible Study – Tuesday, May 27 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the church.
* CSY Youth Retreat – June 6-8. Speaker: Jeremy Sawatsky (YFC worker from Brandon). We will be going to Stephenfield Provincial Park. I can’t wait to have smores … so sign up in the Youth Room!
Junior Youth
* FUEL night – June 4th from 7:00-9:00 at the church.
* Jr. Youth Manathon/Girly Sleepover!! – May 30-31.
- Guys meet at the church at 5:00 on Friday. Bring sleeping bag, warm clothes, tent and drinks & snacks. We will be back by 12:00 Saturday, just in time for lunch. Call Jeremy and let him know if you are coming. If you don’t let him know you don’t get food.
- Girls meet at the church at 7:00 on Friday. Bring sleeping bag, overnight stuff and drinks & snacks. Breakfast will be provided. Call Diane DeRoo to register. Pick up time is a 11:30 a.m. at the church.
